Beacon is a voice-first scouting app for iPhone, built around athletes across sports. Record your observations, review a transcript, and turn your words into a structured scouting report. Connect reports to athletes and, when organization access is enabled, choose what to publish to your team. Our longer-term vision is a shared team brain built on that growing knowledge.
Who is it for?
Coaches, scouts, and performance teams in every sport—from team sports to individual competition. Beacon gives the details you notice a lasting home, with context for the sport, position, or discipline.
Which sports can I explore here?
The interactive preview shows basketball, baseball, American football, and figure skating, with examples for different positions and disciplines. They’re a few ways to see Beacon’s approach—not a limit on who it’s for. Tell us your sport when you request early access, and we’ll confirm availability for your team.
Can I use it without Wi-Fi?
Yes, you can record audio, transcribe it on your iPhone, search the bundled athlete index, and use your private athlete roster offline. Generating a new AI report, loading full public competition histories, and publishing to an organization require an internet connection.
What happens to my recordings?
Your audio stays on your iPhone during ordinary recording, transcription, and report generation. Only the corrected transcript is sent to Beacon’s Google Cloud report service. If you explicitly confirm Publish to Organization, the selected package—including audio, transcripts, report, and supporting metadata—is copied to your organization. Exported files are shared only through the destination you choose.
Does AI make judgments about athletes?
Beacon structures the observations you provide. Reports are checked against the transcript, and missing information is marked “Not mentioned.” AI can still make mistakes, so you review and edit the result. Public competition data is kept separate from the evidence used to write reports. Evaluation and development decisions stay with people.
Is the team brain available today?
Scouting is the starting point. The current app includes voice capture, structured reports, athlete profiles, and organization publishing for enabled members. Connected knowledge graphs and questions answered from your team’s source material are our product direction and are not available in the current release.
How can my team try Beacon?
Beacon is in early access on iPhone. Email us to request access and tell us your role, organization, and sport. We’ll follow up about availability and next steps. Access and pricing are confirmed directly; this website does not charge you.
